Engineer Mick O’Donovan paid a visit to the school recently. He told the children all about bridges, their different functions and the different materials used in their construction. Finally he conducted a workshop with the children where use was made of estimation, measurement and construction in the design and capability of a bridge. Needless to say everyone thoroughly enjoyed the experience.
