Recently our 3rd and 4th class indoor hurling teams took part in the annual Sciath na Scol Blitzes held in Cloghduv. Our 3rd class team performed very well in their group. They defeated Derrincahara and Laragh to set up a semi-final against Newcestown. This match proved a titanic struggle. At full time the scores were level and the game went to ‘Golden Goal’. Newcestown got the all important score and went on to win out the tournament. However our lads can be proud of their performances and all enjoyed the day very much.

Our 4th class team also played very well. They lost to Canovee but defeated Rennies and Derrincahara to qualify for a semi-final against Innishannon. This match was played at a hectic pace with our lads going down to late two Innishannon goals. Tirelton can take some comfort ,again, from the fact that Inniishannon went on to win the tournament. A great day was had by all.
