Third and Fourth class had a great day at Airfield Farm on Tues 20th June. After an early start in the morning, they arrived for a farm tour. They took part in a variety of activities including feeding chickens, watching Jersey cows being milked, milk-tasting, pond fishing and planting sunflower seeds to bring home. They enjoyed the playground, especially the zip-line! Derval O’Rourke put them to their paces with a warm-up session and team hurdle relays. They also enjoyed a question and answer session with her. On the day, we were announced as runners up in the country for the Senior Session Moo Crew Competition. We were delighted to be presented with a plaque and a school sports voucher for €250. Well done to the class on their hard work and a well deserved prize.
